Philodendron 'Burle Marx Variegata' is a cultivar of the Philodendron plant that is known for its beautiful variegated leaves. It is a low maintenance plant that is easy to care for and is suitable for growing indoors. It has large, glossy leaves with green and yellow variegation that adds a unique touch to any space. The leaves are heart-shaped and grow on long stems that can cascade down the sides of a pot or hanging basket. It is a great plant for adding some greenery to a home or office. This Philodendron cultivar is named after the Brazilian landscape architect Roberto Burle Marx, who was known for incorporating native plant species into his designs.

Light

Philodendrons require medium to bright, indirect light. Place it near an east- or west-facing window, but out of direct sunlight.

Water

Water your philodendron deeply and then allow the top inch or two of soil to dry out before watering again. Water until it runs out of the drainage holes at the bottom of the pot.

Growing Media

A good potting mix for philodendron plants should be well-draining, rich in organic material, and slightly acidic. Some gardeners recommend a mix of two parts peat moss, two parts potting soil, and one part perlite or sand. For increased drainage, you can also add a few handfuls of pumice or organic matter such as compost or worm castings.
