The Bird of Paradise White (Strelitzia Nicolai) is a stunning ornamental plant known for its large, banana-like leaves and striking white flowers that resemble a bird in flight. Native to South Africa, this evergreen perennial is perfect for adding a tropical vibe to your space. It can grow up to 20 feet tall in its natural habitat but remains smaller when cultivated indoors or in containers. Water

Keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Water when the top inch of the soil feels dry to the touch. During the growing season (spring and summer), water more frequently, while in fall and winter, reduce watering as the plant goes dormant.

Growing Media

Use a well-draining potting mix, such as a combination of peat, perlite, and compost, to provide aeration and prevent root rot. Ensure the pot has adequate drainage holes. Regular fertilization during the growing season can promote healthy growth and flowering.
